http://gorankostic.in, 2017-01-31: Goran Kostić, associate professor at Faculty of Philology and Arts, University of Kragujevac (Serbia), is a former principal double bassist with Bern Symphony Orchestra (Switzerland), Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt (Germany) and Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra (Serbia). He studied in Munich (Germany) with prof. Klaus Trumpf. In addition of his career as an orchestral player as well as a teacher, Mr Kosti? is a very active as a chamber musician and soloist – he is still the only serbian soloist on double bass ever to play concert series with a german professional orchestra (Neubrandenburger Philharmonie in 2012) and also one of the very few double bassist playing a solo recital at one of the greatest music festivals in Germany (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Musikfestival in 2011). Also, in 2012 he was honoured to play, as the only soloist on double bass, at the special memorial concert (200 years since death of famous double bassist and court composer Johann Matthias Sperger).
